What the Cronkite Career Services team can do for you

The Cronkite Career Services team is an in-house career and professional development team dedicated to supporting current students and our Cronkite Nation alumni. We offer a wide variety of services, including career development programming, 1:1 review sessions and networking opportunities.

Here's how our team can help you:

Search for internships and fellowships

Gaining experience in the industry is essential to getting your foot in the door. Visit our online internship board that is updated daily for the latest local and nationwide internship opportunities. The Cronkite Career Services team also hosts several Internship Interview Day events each semester. Students are able to interview for internship opportunities with local media broadcast, publication and public relations employers.

Refine your professional development skills

Attend our monthly Fine Tune Friday workshops, which are jam-packed with information to help you shape your professional persona. We discuss a variety of topics ranging from how to create an online portfolio, how to combine your personal style with your professional wardrobe, how to negotiate for a better salary or benefits and more.

Review your professional materials

If you're about to apply for a big internship or fellowship or are a soon-to-be graduate about to dive into the job market, we recommend having another pair of eyes look over your professional materials. Schedule a 1:1 review session with any member of our team to look over your professional materials, including your:

  • resume

  • cover letter

  • online portfolio

  • LinkedIn profile

  • broadcast reel

  • personal statement

If you are creating your resume for the very first time, we encourage you to check out our curated selection of resume templates to help you get started.

Grow your network

Growing your network is a great way to connect with like minded professionals you can go to for advice throughout your career. These connections could also be your "in" with an employer you want to work with.

Our Cronkite Nation alumni network work for a variety companies and industries all over the world, and we want to help you connect with them! We offer opportunities for current students to connect with our alumni through our monthly The 4:15 networking series. We also encourage Cronkite Nation to join our robust LinkedIn group.

We also host monthly Zoom-In mixers exclusively for our Cronkite Nation alumni! Whether you've moved to a new market or are simply interested in connecting with more members of Cronkite Nation, once a month, all Cronkite School graduates are invited to join us for this event. Jump in and out as your schedule allows to meet and network with other Sun Devils in your region.
